On walking distance of the popular historical city of Penne lies this beautiful, new built and very large house in the hills. There are excellent views to the Majella National Park in the south, La Riserva del Lago di Penne, which is part of the WNF and the mountains of the National Park of the Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga in the west. Unnecessary to say the house is situated on an excellent position.
Because of the quietness and the beautiful surroundings, this place feels so peaceful. And yet the bustling Penne is within walking distance.
Around the house is a good sized garden with a concrete swimming pool. The pool only needs to be finished. There are several olive, nuts and fruit trees.
The house was built under architectural supervision.
Downstairs there is the entrance to a very large living room and a kitchen, there is a large room with French windows suitable as a study, an office, a dining room or an extra bed room. Than there is a bathroom with shower and room for washing machine and dryer. Also there is a good sized (senior) bedroom with French windows and a bathroom en suite.
On the first floor there are 5 good sized bedrooms, 3 of them with a balcony, and 2 large bathrooms both with a whirlpool bath, a separate shower, bidet and toilet. Also there is a good sized storage room.
On the second floor there is an extra room and a very large roof terrace with fabulous views to the whole surrounding, the lake of Penne, the National Parks and the mountains Majella and Gran Sasso. An outside kitchen is already foreseen.
There is floor heating. Outside is another storage room/garage. There is enough space to park several cars in the fenced car parking.
All around the house you find terraces. You can sit in front of the swimming pool or at another side of the house next to the living room and kitchen or the bed room. In the sun or in the shadow.
The villa is new built. It is suitable to make a Bed & Breakfast or just use it as a large family home, maybe with one or more friends/families.
Penne
The beautiful historical city of Penne is very popular. Here you find everything you need. There is a hospital, a nice city centre, lots of shops, nice pubs and several good to excellent restaurants. The Saturday morning market is situated through the whole centre and is famous. There are several sports centres, tennis courts, large covered swimming pool etc.
The city is build around Lago di Penne, a lovely lake with the reserve water supply for the region, but also protected nature. Around you find a lot of beautiful nature in the National Parks, as the Parco Nationale Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga, see http://www.gransassolagapark.it The surroundings are excellent for walking in various degrees of difficulty, mountain climbing, hiking, horse riding, cycling etc.
Other nice villages in the neighbourhood are the beautiful Loreto Aprutino, Farindola, Citta S. Angelo, Atri and lots of others.
Pescara
Is de most important city of the region. It’s a popular beach resort with fantastic sandy beaches, the endless and lively boulevard, the new yacht harbour and the old fisherman’s harbour, the airport, the busy train and bus station. There are great museums, theatres, shopping possibilities, large numbers of good to excellent restaurants, bars and nightclubs. In the summer there are always a lot of festivals. The Trabocchi coast runs from Pescara South with its beautiful bays and the very special fishermen’s houses.
